Here at Apex Entertainment our aims are simple, to provide a high class quality service for a price that isn’t going to break the bank. Whether it’s your special day, a corporate function or your dad’s birthday, all clients can ensure they will all receive the same level of service from a smartly dressed professional, using only the latest equipment which is all tested and conforms to all legal requirements.

Our DJ’s are all insured so you can book us in total confidence knowing that if the unthinkable happens you are totally covered. We offer several different disco packages from the bare essentials, to an all singing all dancing show stopper! Basically whatever you after we have the means to meet your requirements.

We are a collective of radio DJ’s from the south coast who between us have got well over 60 years of radio and DJ experience. This means that we know what to play and when to play it, while providing a high level of service to our clients. Our premix is simple, play what the client wants, say what the client wants said and generally maintain a smart professional image at all times, from the equipment we use to the way we dress.

The equipment is the latest available, including digital audio and lighting systems, all PAC tested and well maintained. The key thing we offer is that all our team uses laptops so whatever tune you want, if we haven’t got it, we can download it within seconds of it being requested. Basically, we feel our radio experience only adds to the high class quality service we can offer.

I think I first fell in love with music when my Dad got me my first transistor radio when I was 4, and from that point on music has been my life. After that pivotal moment there were various appearances on several radio stations round the UK, until I got on the radio full time in 1995.

Since then I haven’t really stopped, working for radio stations in Southampton, Bournemouth, Brighton and Salisbury plus a brilliant 3 years in Guernsey. Towards the end of 2014, I had been to various functions, weddings etc. where the DJ was so cheesey I thought they were from a local dairy farm! I thought to myself, really it can’t be that hard can it? To that end I thought I would use my 20 years of radio experience to set up my own DJ company. The premix behind it is to provide a quality entertainment service playing the music the clients wanted, but without all the needless banter. I’m not saying I don’t talk, of course I do, that is the job of a DJ after all, but just keeping it relevant not just to hear the sound of my own voice. As an extra twist, I bought the latest equipment to ensure that any clients who booked me got the very best experience for their money, not some equipment that should have gone down with the ark.

Moving forwards I want to maintain a high quality affordable service for anyone who books – just because it’s someone’s wedding that should never give a DJ the right to charge silly money, this just isn’t fair. Plans for the future are to have as many members of staff as required to fill the bookings. I already have 3 people on the books and I hope this will only grow going forward.
